Tuning Services by Adirondack Piano Services
Pianos go out of tune even if they are not played. The seasonal changes in humidity are the primary cause of pianos going out of tune.
In the winter the humidity is low which causes the piano to go flat. High humidity in the summer causes the piano to go sharp.
Every Piano needs regular tuning at least once a year to maintain quality sound and performance.
If a piano is not tuned for an extended period of time, the pitch of the piano goes flat.=
When the piano pitch goes too far flat, a Raised Pitch Tuning is required before a regular tuning can be done.
Every piano needs tuning at least once or preferably twice each year. This will maintain quality sound and performance.
Repairs & Technical Services
As a piano is played the felt and cloth in the piano wears and compresses. Making adjustments to compensate for this problem is called Regulation. Piano Regulation is necessary to keep the piano at optimum performance.
Parts of the piano will break or wear out over time and replacement will be necessary. I perform the necessary repairs to your piano. These repairs can be done in your home or in my piano shop.
This is only a small portion of information about piano tunings, repairs and technical services. Please call me and I will be happy to assist you with your piano needs.
